Thank you

To everyone who has supported us over the past year and half, both financially and through prayer and encouragement, we want to let you know how much we deeply appreciate you. We cannot imagine what we would have done without you, and it means more to us than we can express with words that you took it upon yourselves to help us do what we felt like God wanted us to do. We are so thankful to you. Furthermore, we are both humbled and honored by your generosity and love. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Moving on....

For those of you who don't know we have just recently moved to Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. It's the tiny country sitting right in the middle of the German, French and Belgian borders, also the last Grand Duchy in the world! The entire country is only about 1600 square miles with less than 500,000 people living there, but it has all the charm and beauty of the rest western Europe!

We have been here just over a month now and are really excited about what life holds for us here. After a lot of prayer and waiting for God to show us where He wanted us, we felt like it was time for us to move on from Weil am Rhein, Germany and venture on to a new place. We never imagined that it would be Luxembourg, but once again, God has amazed by His gracious provision and faithfulness to open doors and guide us.

I will be teaching elementary EAL (English as an Additional Language) at the International School of Luxembourg. Of the 800 students in grades preK-12 over a third of them are non-native speakers of English, which is why I am there, along with 12 or so other EAL teachers. Some of the students are local Luxembourgers, but most of them are from other countries throughout the world, who moved here for their parents' jobs. Luxembourg City is highly international and mobile, so we fit in quite well. One of the national languages is French, so I am finally able to put my undergrad degree (which I was starting to think was useless) into practice! Although my French is a bit rusty, I am having so much fun with it!

Jamath is already busy with his football (sorry, we have to call it that now that we live in Europe!). He's playing for a First Division team here in Luxembourg called FC Avenir Beggen. They have just started the season, and he thinks he is really going to like playing with this club...even more so if he can learn some French! Fortunately most of the guys speak English and at least one of the coaches speaks German, so he is able to get by with that! It's always an adventure! He loves the challenge and competition of playing and is excited about building relationships with the guys on the team.

Other than that we have just been enjoying settling in, meeting new people and exploring the area. We are so thankful to have already found a church body to plug into. We have been able to connect with some amazing people there who share our same heart for building community and living life together with other people with the purpose of making Christ known.

We'll keep you updated with how things continue to go...
